Twins Sale

Well this past weekend(actually 2 weekends ago, I forgot to publish this) I went down to Indy for a moms with multiples sale. No I am not selling my twins nor was anyone else:) It was a huge garage sell where the families of multiples got rid of all of their nicely used things for moms getting ready to have multiples. I was hoping to find some good bargains for me and for my moms house. My sister and brother-in-law drove me down and the shopping began. We got so many great deals. For my moms house we got a pack-n-play, a swing, 2 bouncers, a floor mat thing to play on and a monitor all for about a 100 bucks!!! I got some preemie clothes, a couple boppy's, some toys for when they are older and a bunch of other things. So the trip was a big success. Thanks so much for my friend Nicole for telling me about it:):) Now we just have to teach Ruger that the toys aren't his and he isn't do so hot with that just yet. Poor guy:(

22 weeks

Just had another check at the OB and everything seems to still be on track and going well. I am a little over 22 weeks, but measuring 27 weeks. That is how big my belly is, so if I were having just one I definitely wouldn't be so big. I have been having contractions every once in a while, which the doctor said for 2 very active little boys it normal as long as I don't have more than 5 or 6 an hour which I am nowhere near that. So everyone has been telling me to post a pic so here are a couple.

The Big 3-0!!

So this past week Lane turned 30. I can't even believe I am married to a 30 year old. haha. I still have a year and a half before I get there thank goodness. So for his birthday we didn't really do a whole lot since it was on a Thursday. We went to small group that night where our wonderful new friends had a little cake and stuff for Lane which was super nice and then we did our celebrating on Friday. We were suppose to be in Florida this past week, but with all my problems I can't travel so that left us stuck in Goshen. woo hoo!! Lane has never been to Ruth's Chris so that is where we headed. We had a wonderful dinner together and just spent a relaxing evening at home. It was pretty good I thought so I hope he did too. Love you old man:)

Half-way there!!!!

So this is my 19th week of pregnancy which for me is halfway for sure and maybe even further than that. The doc will take the boys at 38 weeks at the most. I can't really fathom in just 4 and a half months we will have 2 little baby boys at our house. Still doesn't seem real. Went to the OB for another ultrasound and everything is looking great. Didn't see the bleed anymore, which is a miracle from God and they are on schedule for growing. One is about 11 ounces and the other 13 ounces and they are about 9 inches long. They were quite active throughout the ultrasound so 3-D images were no good:(

Looking at each other

I have been good so far and haven't bought one outfit for them merely, b/c my sis has stocked my closet for the first several months for their lives, but I have finally caved in and bought them a couple things. I actually did find some pretty cute little boy things. Sometimes you just can't resist. I think Children's Place will be my downfall!!!

We've Got Movement!!!

So this past week has been a very exciting week at the Detweiler household. I have been waiting and waiting to feel the babies move or the so called fluttering feeling but nothing yet. I thought well there are 2 5 inch human beings inside my belly so it has to be sometime soon. The other day I just thought I had a gas bubble but then it didn't go away and this weird feeling kept going on and I was like oh my that has to be it. I can finally feel them. It is so exciting I can't even stand it. I am sure in a couple months I will look back at this post as they are kicking me in the ribs on both sides and not letting me sleep and wonder what I was thinking, but for now they can flutter away.

Then today we found out for sure they are both boys which we are super excited about. Still working on the whole name thing. I think Lane should get to pick one and I can pick the other, but we will see how that goes:) So things are looking on the up and up.

Meltdown

Well Friday night Lane was working at the firestation and me at home with nothing to do decided to just lay in bed and watch t.v. As I flipped through the stations I saw a show about multiples. For some reason I thought this would be something good to watch, needless to say not such a great choice. It totally freaked me out and I just layed in bed and cried for 2 hours. I couldn't get ahold of Lane at the station and didn't know who else to call, so I just kept torturing myself and watched this stupid show. As I was laying there I was like what have I gotten myself into. I don't know how to raise a baby let alone 2!!! I don't know how hot to make the bottle, how to give a bath or any of that good stuff and it freaked me out more and more. Then I was watching the c-section birth and oh my word there was sooo much blood. I see why they put that curtain up so you can't see what is going on down there and I can't imagine going through that, but in a few short months that will be me. Finally about 10:30 Lane called and talked to me and calmed me down enough where I just fell asleep. I woke up the next day and realized if all these young people can do it so can I. I have amazing friends and family that will help me out along the way with all my ridiculous questions and problems. Lane even took Sunday off of work to be with me. I can't say enough how lucky I am. So meltdown is over with for now and we will see what the next week brings us. 17 weeks......
