First of all if you don't want to read anything grose stop right now......This past Saturday about 1:30 a.m. I woke up and was like oh my word I just wet the bed. Are you kidding me?!?! I sure didn't think at 10 weeks along that would be happening alredy. So got up cleaned myself up and headed back to bed. At 2:30 I woke up again and the same thing and I was like no way. So I went back to the bathroom and felt it running down my leg on the ground. I flipped the light on only to see bright red blood everywhere. Dripping down both legs onto the floor and everywhere. Lane said it looked like a murder scene. I was in shock and just kept saying oh no, oh no is this really happening? Lane came running in with a complete look of shock on his face saying it will be ok, I love you, it will be ok, try and calm down. I sat on the toilet and then starting digging through looking for my babies, but they weren't there. They are about an inch by now so I knew for sure I would be able to find them. Then I started freaking out wondering if I had lost them earlier, b/c it wasn't actually urine that I had "let out." I didn't know what to do. I called my mom while Lane called the OB doc on call. My mom and dad immediately got in the car and headed up here. The doc said if the bleeding kept going then I needed to go to ER. About 6:30 bleeding hadn't stopped so into the ER we go.
By the time I got there bleeding had stopped and they ran all sorts of tests. I even had to get a catheter(which was the worst thing ever) and the ultrasound showed both babies hearts beating and they were both still moving all around. That was encouraging only to find out there were a couple of bleeds in my uterus and one was
8cm, which is really big. Doc said there was nothing to do but go on bed rest and hope it resolves itself. Right before leaving the hospital I went to the bathroom and started bleding all over the bathroom. Nurse came in and went and got doc, but still nothing to do except get home and get in bed. I was trying not to cry and get myself worked up, b/c I know stress isn't good, but didn't know what to do or say.
So it is now Monday night and I have been in bed the past couple of days. Only to get up to go to the bathroom and to the doc today. Thank goodness I have my wonderful mother here to help out and my amazing husband. I am so lucky to have them along with my wonderful friends and everyone that has been praying for me.
Today the hematoma had shrunk down to 2 cm and the doc was happy. Still not out of the woods, but hopefully the bed rest will help. He told me today that I will be high risk my entire pregnancy and I should expect to go on bed rest at about 28weeks or so. I said I will do whatever it takes to keep my babies alive and healthy. So I go back to doc next Tuesday and will see what he has to say then. Please just keep praying that everything will be ok. I love all my family and wonderful friends.

9 weeks 4 days
Today we headed down to Ft. Wayne for a check-up with my fertility doctor. We haven't seen him when we found out we were having twins. Still crazy to say. We had our ultrasound and everything looked great. We even got to see their little arms and legs moving around which was amazing. I can't believe how much things change in just 2 weeks. I will get to stop all of my hormones this weekend and they released me to go to my regular OB. I was hoping that would happen, but then a little nervous wanting to make sure my doc was competant about twins, so I called and he apparently is. I know I'm psychotic already.
I have been reading this book called twins, triplet and quads and I had no idea how much a twin pregnancy was different than a singleton pregnancy. So many more restrictions and a certain diet and WOW!! Sort of freaks you out for a minute, but I know we can do it. We have such a wonderful support system with so many friends up here and family and that is all that I have to remember. Plus I have so many friends with babies I will have lots of advice. (Speaking of that congrats to Chelssie who had her little girl last night, so exciting!!!!)
Anyway here are a few pics from our appt. today. I am measuring 9 weeks 4 days. One does look a little bigger than the other, but that is pretty normal, b/c one usually steals some food from the other. Guess I will have to eat more. Heart beats were 176 and 167.
9wks 4 day baby...HR=176
Head is on the bottom and you can see the little arm in the middle and feet on top.

This one didn't want to cooperate and layed on its back the whole time.
And here they are together
